Shirin is a team leader of a Tier 2 and 3 Adult Weight Management service that is commissioned from a London local authority.
Her team include dietitians, fitness instructors, peer facilitators and a psychologist. Some of her team have had some behaviour change training, but not many.

The service commissioner recommends that she assess what level of behaviour change training her team require and signposted her to the BCDF level assessment tool.

Shirin takes the level assessment tool for the workforce, which recommends behaviour change level 2 training for her team.

Shirin downloads the results and saves them to her favourites to share with her team later.

Shirin then looks at the competencies and knowledge base required for this level and maps that against what the team have already received and what training is already available to them, locally and online.

She shares this with her team and encourages them to explore the toolkit and training resources to map out their own learning.

The team return to the learning resources that are mapped to the competencies and begin their learning at their own pace.
After a few months, Shirin brings her team back together to discuss and review what they have learned, gaps in their learning, and what from their learning they could use to enhance their Adult Weight Management offer for service users.
