Taxonomy of Behaviour Change Techniques
This is a great resource if you are interested in finding out more about the range of behaviour change techniques that are proven to be effective in behaviour change.
The taxonomy can be used to:
- “Code” and assess existing behaviour change programmes to identify if behaviour change techniques are being used.
- Specify what behaviour change techniques you want included in a behaviour-related service or programme, whether you deliver services or commission services.
You may also use the BCT taxonomy for inspiration or to familiarise yourself with a range of techniques.
Use this resource with the behaviour change wheel and the interventions page on the BCT taxonomy website.
You can also download the easy-to-navigate and searchable version of the Behaviour Change Techniques.
