NHS Long Term Plan
The NHS Long Term Plan sets out the key things you can expect to see and hear about over the next few months and years, as local NHS organisations work with their partners to turn the ambitions in the plan into improvements in services in every part of England.
The plan includes a range of ambitious targets which can be achieved in part through individual level behaviour change: for example, reducing heart attacks and strokes, providing exercise programmes to tens of thousands of patients, and helping patients to live more independently.
Read the summary document and the sections most relevant to your goals to learn about NHS plans over the coming years.
The long term plan will help you in building the case for population health. Use the detail in Chapter 2 which focuses on preventing ill health and addressing health inequalities.
