NHS Long Term Workforce Plan
The NHS Long Term Workforce Plan is the first comprehensive workforce plan for the NHS. The cornerstones of the plan focuses on Train, Retain, Reform. Train and grow the NHS workforce; Retain the existing workforce by providing opportunities to develop and flexibility; Reform by working differently and delivering training in new ways.
The Long Term Workforce Plan includes a focus on shifting care towards prevention and early intervention identifying the Behaviour Change Development Framework as an enabler to developing a workforce skilled in supporting behaviour change of people.
